Select your Blackmagic device as the video and audio sources and make sure to use the HD 720 option as your capture preset. Be sure that the Frame/ sec field is set to match your video feed format. You’ll want to match your Video Format option to the source feed format.Depending on your country or type of device, the Frame/ sec could be 29.97, 59.94 (in the U.S.) or 25, 50 or 60. This Blackmagic device is not a camera, but a device for capturing HDMI (or SDI) into a form your computer can use. Has anyone been able to successfully get their mini recorder to work in the latest version of MacOS?If you're using UltraStudio as a media player then you can run title software or animations in RGB using the UltraStudio 4K model and output fill and key on the dual link SDI outputs. Each link can be connected to two switcher inputs and the server can use the fill and key internally to key these graphics live.
I haven't used my mini recorder in a couple of years and a need from my church came up again so I thought to fire it up again. To my surprise the software did not recognize my recorder. So I immediately go into troubleshooting mode. I uniinstall and re-install the software. I enable access in the privacy settings but it still didn't work. I reached out to this BM team and they gave me basic troubleshooting info that I had already tried but it still did not work.
I have an older Macbook Pro mid 2012 on MacOS Catalina.
I tried my wife's mackbook air which is on MacOS Sierra and it worked fine, on the first try but of course I don't need it on my wife's computer, I need it on mine.
Has anyone else had these issues wit MacOS Catalina? Please HELP!!!!
I have installed Windows 10 Pro with Bootcamp on both my iMac Pro1,1 2017 and Macbook Pro13,3 2016. The Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder is connected via the Apple USB-C Thunderbolt 2 adapter and works fine on OSx High Sierra and the Windows 10 Bootcamp on the Macbook Pro *** but not *** on the Bootcamp iMac Pro. The Mini Recorder ***light turns off*** right after the Windows 10 selection (boot) but does not turn back on seconds later (as it does on the Macbook Pro, hence works thereafter in the session). I have reinstalled both machines with no luck. I suspect there is a driver problem related to the USB-C hardware of the iMac Pro with the Bootcamp. Again, the mini recorder works fine on that machine using High Sierra, it's not a cable problem.

I have all latest drivers and Blackmagic software on both the Mac High Sierra system and the Bootcamp running Windows 10 Pro (I am an IT professional). I have tested the UltraStudio on another recent iMac (not the Pro) and it works on both environments. It's definitely a iMac Pro - Bootcamp issue with the power being cut on the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) right after the initial switch (option key) on the Windows partition. The UltraStudio light shuts down and does not come back (i.e. no power being sent to the USB-C) with Bootcamp. The power and connection works fine under the High Sierra partition.
Has anyone successfully used the UltraStudio mini Recorder on an iMac Pro running Windows 10 ? I am not sure it's a iMacPro specific driver problem with external USB-C power or a Blackmagic driver issue.
I need the Bootcamp-Windows 10 for reliability with OBS streaming with multi cams.
